Types of packaging atmosphere
Natural atmosphere

The technically simplest solution is to package without a modified atmosphere. These packages protect the product, but do not offer properties that extend their shelf life.

Modified Atmosphere (MAP)

In the case of modified atmosphere packaging, the air in the package is replaced with a gas mixture calibrated according to the product. This mixture is usually composed of carbon dioxide, nitrogen or oxygen.

Vacuum

Vacuum packaging extends shelf life of products as it slows down the biochemical degradation process, eliminating air.

As products are compressed during the process, vacuum packs are only suitable for foods that are not pressure-sensitive.

Equilibrium Atmosphere (EMAP)

La upper film permeability is calibrated against the respiration rate of the product via microperforations.

This creates an atmosphere of balance that extends conservation of sensitive and breathing products, such as fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs.

Skin

In the process MultiSkin™, the upper film wraps the product tightly, like a second skin, and is welded to the lower film via a perimeter welding.

FormShrink

The process FormShrink uses highly shrinkable thermoformable films. The completed packages pass through a shrinking unit: the shrinking properties of the film are activated by the’thermal effect of hot water, and the film adapts perfectly to the shape of the product.

Presentation of the package

We can offer different types of product presentation: the standard is that horizontal.
However, there are also customised solutions, ideal if you need packages to be displayed in vertical o hangable.

Opening systems
Peelable corner

The weld at the peelable corner is set back slightly and has a larger radius.

This creates a softer upper film tab, which is raised by a small relief in the lower film. This allows easily grasp the tab e open the package.

Lower film angle cut

When opening the package, a portion of the lower film is lifted together with the upper film, creating an easy-to-grasp angle.

This opening system is made making a cut in the lower film.

Tear tab

The pull tab is a non-welded area extending for the full width of the package, allowing a comfortable grip for easy opening.
